The recipient of the coveted Nigeria Entertainment Award for Best Female R&B Artist, she’s already been recognized in the Motherland as one of the brightest music stars of the day. With dynamic and audience grabbing performances, TolumiDE has gained new fans and rave reviews for her debut EP Specialty in 2008. The project set the stage for her upcoming release, My Love, a further extension of the amazingly gifted artist.

She is the sister of Aleashia Harris-Brandon. She is the President, and Executive Director of Quality Care Developmental Services Inc.- Residential Treatment Facilities for children. Tara is a graduate of Livingstone College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 1995, the same year she married the ”Love of her Life” Mr. Tito White. She thought she could marry him and live happily ever after… Yet, “Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.” This poignant memoir showcases how her life mirrors and reflects the lives of others. Not only does the moniker represent the challenges life can throw our way, but even more, it’s symbolic of God’s deliverance, if we persevere. “Anytime you start declaring what God’s going to do and He does it, it’s almost always followed by a valley experience,” says Mary. And that’s exactly where the title of the new release, Pressing On, comes from. It’s a declaration to the enemy that no matter what comes her way, Mary will indeed “press on”.
